Fundamental geophysical fluid dynamics, structure of planetary interiors, mantle convection in the Earth and planets, tectonics and deformation of crusts and lithospheres, chemistry of upper atmospheres, and planetary atmospheres and surfaces, i.e.; physics of the planets, the present states and evolutionary paths of their atmospheres, surfaces and interiors.
