Information for Alumni Donors and General Donations
In recognition of their importance, annual gifts to the EPSS Alumni Fund - 5025 will also receive special courtesies through the UCLA Chancellor’s Circle and Chancellor’s Associates programs:
Chancellor’s Circle:Courtesies(annual gift between $1,000 and $2,499)
Chancellor’s Associates Courtesies(annual gift $2,500 and above)
Our supporters who already enjoy Chancellor’s Associates member benefits may also direct their annual gifts to EPSS by selecting it via the UCLA Annual Fund appeals. By designating Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences as the recipient of their annual gifts on the UCLA Fund’s appeal forms, Chancellor’s Associates members will retain the courtesies associated with their level of support. You may contribute to the following specific areas
|EPSS Alumni Chair’s Discretionary Fund||5025||Provides general department support for students, faculty, and research and teaching program areas; including lab maintenance, instructional enhancement, equipment upgrades, and commencement activities; as well as support for alumni and outreach initiatives such as colloquia, public seminars/lectures, and community outreach events|
|Clarence A. Hall Summer Field Scholarship||3946||Provides support for summer field research, based on academic performance. The fund was established to honor Clarence A. Hall, Professor Emeritus.|
|W. Gary Ernst Graduate Student Support Fund||3333||Supports a graduate student specializing in petrology, tectonics, and/or geochemistry and was endowed by Emeritus Professor W. Gary Ernst and his colleagues and former students.|
|Clem Nelson Summer Field Award||3911||Conferred for scholastic excellence to summer field students. This fund was established in memory of ESS Professor Emeritus, Clem Nelson.|
|Robert J. Horodyski Memorial Fund||3932||Supports undergraduate and graduate student field studies; based on excellence in field geology.|
|Meteorite Collection Fund||6239||Provides support for the acquisition, display, and curating of the UCLA Meteorite Collection.|
