- Siderophile elements in martian, HED, angrite, and lunar meteorites, and in Apollo lunar basalts
- Implications for core/mantle differentiation and history of impact cratering
- Petrology of cumulate eucrites (in collaboration with colleagues from Univ. of Tokyo)
- Carbonate deposition on Mars, especially in the ALH84001 meteorite
- Numerous unusual lunar rocklets (e.g., a lava-margin vitrophyre, an Fe-metal dominated rock)
- Effects of very large scale cratering during and/or soon after major differentiation of the Moon
- Bulk composition of the Moon, utilizing new constraints from the Lunar Prospector mission
